und seinem unmittelbaren Umfeld beleuchtet werden. Die Problematik im Ausland sowie im
Amateurbereich wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit nur am Rande Beachtung finden.

Der Anspruch dieser Hausarbeit geht jedoch eindeutig über eine bloße Aufzählung rassistisch
motivierter Vorfälle hinaus. Vielmehr stellt sie den Versuch dar, die Entwicklung und den
Veränderungsprozess xenophober Handlungsweisen in den vergangenen 25 Jahren zu analysieren.
Dabei bietet sich eine chronologische Vorgehensweise geradezu an.

Im Anschluss an eine kurze, allgemeine Einführung zum Thema „Rassismus“, folgt eine konkretere
Hinwendung zum recreation und schließlich zum Fußball. Zunächst wird die Entstehung rassistischer
Tendenzen Anfang der 80er Jahre in den Bundesligastadien vorgestellt. In den darauf folgenden
Jahren ist eine zunehmende Radikalisierung der Ausländerfeindlichkeit feststellbar, die in einer
immer größeren Anzahl von tätlichen Angriffen ihren Ausdruck findet. Vor allem in diesem
Zusammenhang darf die gesamtgesellschaftliche scenario bei der Betrachtung der Ursachen
und Gründe rechtsgerichteten Verhaltens bei Fußballspielen nicht außer Acht gelassen
werden. Soziale Unzufriedenheit und wirtschaftlicher Abschwung werden häufig mit einer
verstärkten Migration in Verbindung gesetzt und bieten dadurch die Grundlage fremdenfeindlicher
Einstellungen. Der Bielefelder Pädagoge und Fan-Forscher Wilhelm Heitmeyer beschreibt das
Zuschauerverhalten auch als „Vergrößerungsglas gesellschaftlicher Prozesse“.
Unterschiedliche Maßnahmen bewirkten Mitte der 90er Jahre einen Rückgang offenkundiger
diskriminierender Äußerungen in den Stadien. Ob und inwieweit jedoch tatsächlich eine
Verbesserung hinsichtlich des Rassismusproblems in den letzten Jahren stattgefunden hat,

wird in erster Linie eine im Jahre 2006 veröffentlichte Studie von Pilz herangezogen.

Zum Abschluss werden noch einige Lösungsansätze der behandelten Problematik diskutiert und kritisch hinterfragt.
